The 10 districts in Italy where it is most expensive to buy a house

The place where you live influences not only your social life, but also your feeling of belonging to the community. The chosen neighborhood can play an important role in defining quality of life, and before investing in a new home, it is good to also consider the growth prospects and prestige of the area where you decide to buy it. Immobiliare.it, the main home sales portal in Italy, has created a ranking of 10 most expensive neighborhoods in our country where to buy a house.

The most expensive neighborhoods in Venice, Naples and Florence

There are two cities that occupy the top 14 positions in the ranking, clearly standing out from all the others. Before knowing what they are, let's go through the list backwards, leaving the top ten and reaching 22nd position, in the Posillipo – Marechiaro de Naples. The characteristic Neapolitan village is the most expensive neighborhood in the South Italy. The price per square meter on average exceeds 4,800 euros.

Two positions above is the Dorso Duro – Accademia district, a Venice, with an average price of just under 5,000 euros per square meter. However, less than the San Marco – Rialto neighborhood, which stands out in 15th position. A house in the heart of Serenissima, close to the famous bridge, actually exceeds the price of 5,500 euros per square meter.

Halfway between the two Venetian neighborhoods, in 18th position, is the Michelangelo – Porta Romana neighborhood, south of Florence. Buying a house there means spending an average price of 5,100 euros per square meter. The numbers for these three Italian cities, however, pale in comparison to the two most expensive on the peninsula. With little surprise for those who live there.
